GNA invited the candidates in the November 7 election for city and state offices to introduce themselves, present a short statement, and stay afterwards to meet the meeting attendees and answer questions.

58 people attended the 18th Annual Meeting. The program: Captain William Ackley, Stamford Emergency Medical Services (SEMS) spoke on the history of SEMS and how they operate in Stamford. Assistant Chief of the Glenbrook Fire Department, Kevin Ezzo, and Lieutenant Reena O’Day announced an August 19th open house to celebrate GFD’s 100th anniversary. They gave a presentation about home fire extinguishers, followed up by a demonstration in the parking lot that gave everyone a chance to use one. Sixty people attended the meeting. The program topics were Glenbrook's current "hyperlocal" real estate market, explained by Linnea McManus, GNA Board Member and local realtor and the history of Glenbrook's Village Commercial District, explained by Robin Stein, former Land Use Bureau Chief. Other invited guests included Glenbrook playwright and professor, Christopher Ward; Mike Bushnell, co-owner of Lock City Brewing Co., and Emily Provonsha, Stamford's Transportation Planner.

Sixty-five people attended the meeting, including some newcomers, elected officials and visitors. Alice Knapp, President of Ferguson Library spoke on how the library could better serve Glenbrook residents in the future.
